International cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin, has launched a $100 million fund to support artists behind early-stage non fungible token (NFT) projects in a variety of fields. The fund will provide support for NFT projects in fields ranging from sports, arts, profile pictures and GameFi (Game + DeFi).
According to KuCoin, the incubation fund will help young artists promote their artistic creations through the NFT marketplace called the Windvane platform. KuCoin describes it as a much more open, free, equal and democratic decentralized marketplace.
In addition to supporting and helping young artists, KuCoin also wants to allocate a sum of money, to invest in promising NFT projects that can have a positive impact for Web 3.0.
Finally, KuCoin’s CEO has stated that their intention with Windvane is to bridge the gap between Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 for NFT marketplaces and thus enable easy access and a simple learning process for people just entering the NFT space.
